Carol Kenna
I trained as a painter, with a side dish of textiles and basic photography. In 1975 I set up the Greenwich Mural Workshop with Stephen Lobb and worked for the past almost fifty years producing painted gable end murals, mosaic murals and structures, poster making and environmental improvements. We worked collaboratively with various communities.
In late 2009 we closed down our main workshop in Woolwich and returned to working from our home studios. Still working on community projects but now combined with our more personal work.
I chose to concentrate more on photography. My subject matter is eclectic, recording images that take my eye each day, I rarely go out without a camera, which in a way has become my diary.
My recurrent interests are the River Thames, people as they go about their everyday lives, buildings of interest and latterly some landscape.
